Ben Hohensee brings a robust background in venture capital, financial analysis, and market research to his role as an Investment Analyst at Invest Nebraska. A Lincoln native, he leverages his deep understanding of Nebraska's business ecosystem to identify and support high-potential startups and founders in the region. Prior to joining the team, Ben honed his expertise at VC Lab in Palo Alto, where he conducted due diligence on over 300 venture capital deals and supported 1,000+ global venture capital partners with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and market insights.



Ben’s experience includes serving as a Senior Associate with the Husker Venture Fund, where he evaluated early-stage startup pitches, analyzed financials, and conducted industry research. He also contributed as a member of the Launch LNK Investment Committee, interviewing founders and assessing grant funding opportunities. His academic foundation in finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is complemented by his leadership as a certified Student Strengths Coach and involvement in entrepreneurial and investment-focused campus organizations.
