Pro-Fit wins 2011 E2W

After a lengthy and difficult deliberation by the judges, Pro-Fit Performance Club Fitting, LLC was announced as the winner of the 2011 East 2 West Invest Nebraska Venture Competition. Pro-Fit will collect a $10,000 cash prize and will have the opportunity to negotiate for an equity investment of $50,000.

Finalists for 2011 East 2 West Announced

On Friday the 18th of November starting at 2:00 p.m. at Talent Plus in Lincoln Invest Nebraska will be hosting the 2011 East 2 West Venture Competition.

VersaFiber wins 2011 Southeast Nebraska Competition

(Peru, NE – October 14, 2011)  Invest Nebraska Corporation hosted its 2011 Southeast Venture Competition Friday at Peru State College. Five Nebraska entrepreneurs/teams competed for the chance to win a $25,000 equity investment.

NDED now accepting applications from Investors and Businesses for Angel Tax Credit!

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development is now accepting applications for certification of investors and businesses for the Angel Investment Tax Credit Program that will go into effect on September 1.

Angel Investment Tax Credit Information released

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development released the guidelines and applications for the Angel Investment Tax Credit yesterday. The information can be found here and NDED will begin accepting applications on September 1st, 2011.

Nebraska Prepares to Launch Angel Investment Tax Credit

Starting next week Nebraska-based businesses will be able to sign up for certification to be a “Qualified Small Business” and therefore making their investors eligible for possible angel investment tax credits.

Lincoln Competition award boosted to $50,000

Thanks to the generosity of Lincoln based entrepreneurs Marcus Tooze of GIS Workshop and Ben Harris of NBC Bancshares the 2011 Lincoln Venture Competition has increased it’s award from $25,000 to $50,000. To accomodate new entries the deadline for submissions has been extended to March 9th.
