Water scarcity is a growing concern around the world and North Bend based CropMetrics has come up with a piece of the solution. CropMetrics has created a software solution that controls variable rate center pivots to allow for the precision delivery of irrigation, nutrients and seed. This tool will help farmers around the world apply irrigation in a more scientific method and reduce irrigation to the minimal amount needed to maximize yields. Invest Nebraska has partnered with CropMetrics by providing an operational assistance loan of $19,000. See www.cropmetrics.com
