Dmitry Oleynikov, M.D., and Shane Farritor, Ph.D, founders of Virtual Incision, have been awarded a $2.8 million grant to produce and test a miniaturized, remotely controlled surgical robot. In a nondescript, 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility south of downtown Omaha, Aaron Cass is realizing his plans to turn live music’s infrastructure on its head.
Cass said he witnessed the relative lack of evolution in the industry’s stages, barricades and mechanics over 16 years spent as a roadie for acts that included Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Britney Spears and the Black-Eyed Peas.
