Kearney’s Xpanxion is working to reverse brain drain through high salary, technology job creation. Invest Nebraska is a partner in the Rural Sourcing Project along with Xpanxion, the Nebraska Alumni Association, and the Central for Rural Research and Development. Kearney one of 21 communities chosen for national technology training effort

KEARNEY — A new national training effort to fill technology jobs is coming to Kearney and Buffalo County.

Monday, President Barack Obama announced the TechHire Initiative, a campaign that encourages businesses and communities to quickly train people for high-paying technology jobs. Kearney is among 21 communities involved in the campaign.

More than $4.4 million available to spur new lending to Nebraska businesses and create jobs

MARCH 10, 2015 (LINCOLN, NEB.)—The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (NDED) announced today that the state has received its third and final installment of $4,477,239 to assist with new business development, job creation and angel investments through the U.S. Treasury Department’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI).
